iPhone app

For all of you tech savvy people, I was made aware of a neat app that you should get. If you search “common core” in the app store, it’s the free mastery of common core app. It has all the national standards in an easy to read format. I’m a fan.

Jessie’s Adventures in Cooking! Again …

So I return with a non-Italian version of an Italian food that I’m attempting to recreate.  And I’m not Italian, so it was an interesting endeavor.  I am just trying to branch out into making different kinds of things.  The things that I like about this are the capers, lemons, herbs and chicken.  I don’t like that lot of people make this dish so crusty and fattening and the sauce has to be so thick.  I try not to make it that thick and it’s still good, and used lean chicken breast.  I just have to remember next time to add more veggies.

Jessie’s Adventures in Cooking! Returns …

So, it’s a really important football game tonight, but if you know me well, you know that I don’t care.  Football just isn’t on my radar.  That’s kind of how I roll.  Anyway, I wanted to make a Thai dish, and combined two recipes, one for Pad Thai and another for a curry, so I could get some good flavors going.  So I came up with a Spicy Pad Thai that was quite yummy.  The recipe was a combo of http://allrecipes.com/recipe/thai-red-chicken-curry/detail.aspx that one, and the one from the back of a box of Pad Thai noodles.  It turned out interesting.  If anyone has Thai cooking recommendations, or anything to make it healthier, let me know!  Thanks!
